Bhookh is the Hindi word for Hunger

Objective - To provide, using the Internet, staple food to

chronically hungry Indians so as to enable them to survive,

learn and work.

HUNGER FACTS

Hunger remains the No.1 cause of death in the world. Aids, Cancer etc. follow.

There are 820 million chronically hungry people in the world.

1/3rd of the worldÂ’s hungry live in India.

836 million Indians survive on less than Rs. 20 (less than half-a-dollar) a day.

Over 20 crore Indians will sleep hungry tonight.

10 million people die every year of chronic hunger and hunger-related diseases. Only eight percent

are the victims of hunger caused by high-profile earthquakes, floods, droughts and wars.

India has 212 million undernourished people – only marginally below the 215 million estimated

for 1990–92.

Over 7000 Indians die of hunger every day.

Over 25 lakh Indians die of hunger every year.

THE PROBLEM

Facts:

Bhook.com was established in 2000

Till now it has been successful in Tier-2 cities but not in the

metropolitan cities like Delhi, Bangalore etc.

People are not aware of this initiative

The younger population are not involved in their activities

Solution: use of gamficiation techniques to increase the brand

awareness, get new supporters and engage the supporters in

unique way.

Build a mobile game app called as Bhook

App for android and i-phone users

Free downloadable game for the users

Game based on Circket and Bollywood – two

craziest thing in India.

Easy onboarding and simple to play

Players can choose their favoute

actor/actress to make their team and play

cricket.

GAME MECHANICS

Points – for every 4 or 6 player hits you will get coins, 100 coins means you can

feed one person one meal

Leader Board – there will be a leaderboard which will show how many meals

you earned and donated to bhook.com

Badges – you will earn badges for accomplishments which can be

shared/shown on you social networks

Invite friends – you can invite friends and challenge them to play with you, play

and earn meals together

After every over is completed you will be shown a 5 sec ad, the revenue will

generated from the ad will be shared to Bhook.com
