Big Events• 11, Nov, 2008 TVB laid off 212

employees, despite the profit of over 500 billion HKD in the first half year.

• 18, Nov, 2009 Employees demonstrated outside TVB’s company requiring higher salary.

Gloomy Dawn• As reported on 1, Jan, 2011, TVB was

sentenced to pay back the money to the 3 employees it owed.

• Later on, during the Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk, some top level people in TVB indicated, although not clearly, that salary would be raised in response to the inflation.
