One benefit of the digital camera is that we found it very easy to transfer data to and from. The camera also was very portable so we could put the camera in places where a celluloid camera different to the digital camera we used is large and heavy making it not portable.

We learnt that by using a camera in the correct way we could frame a picture in such a way that the bits we don’t want to show wouldn’t show and make it look more like what we wanted it to look like, for example the office scene which was recorded in a classroom we framed it in such a way it didn’t look like we were in a classroom.

Learning to control an Apple Mac computer was difficult at first because it was so different from using a normal computer, this slowed me down at the beginning of the process, but after a couple of weeks of using the technology it gave me many advantages; mostly the use of in software transitions through the use of first cut software.

YouTube was one of the largest contributors to the completion of my final edit. This was because it was largely beneficial to all the different stages . Research- this was good for research as I was able to access a large library of different medias to get different ideas for my movie. I also discovered a lot of videos other videos how to use software's and how to use different techniques which I found really helpful as I could apply certain techniques to my own work to make it look more better and professional, for example for my final title I found a video on YouTube that taught me how to animate the text, I applied this knowledge to my work and made it look much better. I also learnt how to upload videos to YouTube this was a skill which I was unable to do before the project. Overall this project has been extremely influential and helpful.

Weebly was pretty much home base during this project as it is where we saved all of our work that we did whilst at home and at school, this is where all of the planning and research is held. It was a very useful tool as it was able to hold multiple platforms of different media so I was easily able to store all of my work in the same place, making it easy to access and to locate.

Final cut played the largest part in the completing our final movie. It was where we put together all the different pieces of film we shot, and combined them with the sound we needed to create our completed product. I used many different techniques within final cut such as correction and playing with filters, adding images also text.

One benefit of editing software is that some people argue that it has taken the art and technique out of movie making. Now a director doesn’t have to worry about the quality of their shots as they can now edit it out afterwards, they can add special effects and cut out mistakes.

From using this technology I have realised that by knowing simple functions you can make a huge difference to the production.

The flatbed scanner this was used to scan in my storyboard and other bits of paper so that I could add it to my blog.

The iPhone helped me record some scenes where I didn’t have the normal digital camera. The iPhone camera was also used to take pictures of the locations and set up.

This was used for my data I used this portable storage device to get data from one place to another.

This software was used in my evaluative commentary it helped me present my work creatively and effectively.
