THE USE OF CLOSE UPS HELPS THE AUDIENCE TO ENGAGE WITH THE

CHARACTER’S EMOTIONS. THIS ALSO HELPS THE AUDIENCE FEEL AS THOUGH

THEY KNOW THE INDIVUDIAL CHARACTERS.

Page 4: Evaluation - Question 1 (Part 2)

We decided that we wanted our soap to be broadcast on E4.We chose this particular channel as the programmes already broadcasted on it were aimed at a SIMILAR AUDIENCE to our

soap (AGE 16-24). We based our research on and looked at their already existing trailers for INSPIRATION.

TITLE CARDS help to split up the story lines and help to

GUIDE the audience through what’s

happening in the trailer.

The E4 LOGO creates BRAND IDENTITY

so that the audience know where to

find the soap and when.

PARALLEL NARRATIVESIn my trailer, all of the characters feature but there is ONE MAIN STORY LINE which is the concentration. This story line includes THREE MAIN CHARACTERS, Rhino, Chandelier and Mickey, and features the most throughout the trailer. This is an example of aPARALLEL NARRATIVE.

• Cross dresser• Engaged to Rose• Gets Chandelier

pregnant after a one-night stand.

• In a relationship with Rhino• Discovers that she’s pregnant• She thinks that Mickey is the

father of her child.

• In a relationship with Chandelier• Thinks very highly of himself• Finds out that he may not be

the father of the baby

USING MUSIC TO CREATE MOODFor my final trailer I used, WARZONE - THE WANTED as my soundtrack.

The song is about cheating which fitted one of the storylines in my parody.

The song connotes sadness and made my trailer seems more emotional compared to others in my group.

LYRICSI can't believe I had to seeThe girl of my dreams cheating on meThe pain you caused has left me dead insideI'm gonna make sure you regret that night

Kerrianne’s trailer uses I AM WHAT I AM – GLORIA GAYNER as the soundtrack, which makes the trailer more AMUSING and LIGHT-HEARTED.

Compared to my trailer, this shows how the use of a song can CHANGE the whole MEANING of a trailer, and in comparison to each other they give the audience a completely DIFFERENT FEEL for the storylines.
