Front cover Looking at my front cover and comparing it with existing front covers of magazine , I can see many similarities and differences , for example the colour scheme I have chosen , links to the genre of R’n’B and grime , I used blues and reds witch are conventions of both genres . Focusing on the main image , the image I have chosen is a female and model artist witch is not usually seen in R'n'B or grime magazines how ever both of the artist poses are conventions of the genre they connote the idea of power and superior nature . For example the XXL Magazine the image of Lil Wayne and Baby , the facial expression connote that same image . The mast head on my front cover however is black with a blue glow , and usually in R’n’B Music magazines the masthead is a bright colour as we can see in the front covers of Blender , Vibe and XXL . This challenges the traditional image

Contents Page My contents page has many similarities to other contents pages for example with Vibe magazine , they both have a mini image of the front cover on the contents page , and the layout and the composition is very similar to Vibe with the less busy and colour idea , however i have additional image on my contents page witch is not a traditional convention of a R’n’B magazine , the colour scheme i have chosen is black/white with blue , which relates to the R’n’B/Grime culture

Double Page Spread

My double page spread , connotes the idea of my artist making it to stardom m my background being an main image is challenging the traditional conventions of a R’n’B/Grime magazine , Looking at Florence Welch in Vibe magazines double page spread the background is very plain . However my double page spread has no Floating quotes which is very different to a traditional R’n’B Grime magazine
