of the researcher.

Treating participants with respect

Researcher must remember that –

People who take part may be vulnerable;

False hopes or unnecessary anxiety should not be raised;

Disruption to participants’ life should be kept to a minimum;

Negative experiences from research should not be dwelled for

long;

Sensitive information should be confidential and anonymous.

Codes of Ethics

The Code of Ethics is a written detail provided to the participants that supplies what researcher intend to do with the information they give and it shows that researcher intend to treat both them and the information with respect and honesty.

Purpose of Codes of Ethics

Its purpose is to establish a set of principles and procedure to guide the researchers to achieve the goal and objectives in an ethical way of behavior.

Thank You

Finally, from all the discussion we can say that, ethics in research is a

method, procedure, or perspective for deciding how to act. Ethical lapses

in research can significantly harm human subjects. Many government

agencies have ethics rules for funded researchers and produced Statement

of Ethical Practice which covers several ethical issues.

So, it is acceptable that to be an ethical researcher, we should follow the

socially acceptable manners as it disciplines the study with a standard of

conduct.
