Côte d'Ivoire, like the U.S., is a Republican government. They hold elections every 5 years to determine a new president. The president appoints members of the cabinet as well. There is a national assembly (shown here) that is similar to the U.S. Congress. In Cote d’Ivoire, most people will go to the market to get their necessities, such as food. A market is a place usually in the center of the town, where numerous people and small businesses will sell all kinds of items to customers who come there.

Cote d'Ivoire is in Africa. It has a coastline on the Gulf of New Guinea. Besides this coastal strip, it consists of dense forests and savannahs in the north.
