What’s up with
“PTO Charge Codes”?• We are measuring “how billable” an engineer is• When they are out of the office on vacation,
sick or other PTO time, they will obviously NOT be billable
• For legitimate PTO time, they should NOT be penalized for not being billable
• You can select which Charge Codes are “legitimate PTO” time
What is
The Calculation?• For each time period, we calculate
“Billable Hours” compared to “Required Hours”…and express that as a percentage…which is “Billable % of Required Hours”.
i.e.:
“Billable Hours / Required # Hours”
What about the PTO adjustment?
What is
The PTO Adjustment? When an engineer takes “legitimate PTO”, we don’t expect him/her to record billable time while they are away.
So we SUBTRACT any legitimate PTO time FROM the “Required Hours” for that time period.
Here’s an example…
Example of
The PTO AdjustmentRyan is required to enter 40 hours a week (8 hours a day). He took a sick day this week, and had 26 billable hours the rest of the week.
