RESPONSIBILITIES OF VITA’s CIO:• Plan for the ACQUISITION, management and use of IT for state

agencies.• Direct policies/procedures that require VITA to review IT

projects > $100,000 and recommend whether such projects be approved or disapproved.

• Can enter into public-private partnerships to implement IT programs and projects.

• Review all procurement solicitations for major IT projects.
