Here are some Options for Your Supplies: Toughened Heat Reflective Glazing Glass:

For what I've mentioned above, if you want to conserve heat in the space and want to cut energy bills, then this is a must have for your conservatory. This type of glass comes with a special coating that stops heat from escaping.

Polycarbonate/Glass Roofing:

Polycarbonate should be your choice of roofing material for better efficiency as well as ease in DIY installation. They are budget friendly and provides optimum thermal insulation. If you're not into Polycarbonate, glass roofing could be a decent option. Latest technology has produced glass roofs that are at par with Polycarbonate and even outperforming it.

Ventilation: Heat Insulated conservatories can be unpleasant in the summer. So, it's wise to install some kind of ventilation to let the heat escape. Opening fanlights should be a good option.

Dimension and Permission There are some regulations that were commissioned to restrict on the

size of conservatory you can build. For example:

Your conservatory cannot be higher than house's original roof.

It should not extend beyond the rear wall; not more than 3 meters for attached house and not more than 4 meters for detached house.
