What is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, known by its abbreviated form ADHD/ ADD is a neurological disorder that affects behavior and is
eligible for disability tax benefits in Canada. Disability Credit Consultants are experts at helping Canadians get tax benefits for
disabilities such as ADHD/ADD.
A person having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder has bouts of attention difficulties and hyperactivity. Hyperactivity is the state where the person is abnormally active and excited. Some people are naturally more active and excited due their personalities.
Is ADHD a Disability?
The symptoms of ADHD/ADD are chronic and childhood sufferers can carry the symptoms well into adulthood. If you have a family member such as a child that you are supporting that has ADHD, you may be able to use the Disability Tax credit to lower the income tax you are required to pay.
