• How much does it take to review a CV?• About 30 seconds!
• How many CVs are accepted in average? • About 7%!!
• Some are using screening software tools.
• There are no Ideal CV template, you can build your own.
CV Filtering
• It MUST be the first section.
• Choose a professional email ([email protected]).
• Write one of the following (Or all of them if you have):• Your personal website link.• Your personal blog link.• Your LinkedIn account link.
Contact Information
• Short description of why you are applying here.
• Don’t copy & paste the objective from the internet.
• It’s an optional section.
Objective
Education
• Put the current (or most recent) stage in the top.
• Mentioning the high school is optional.
• Don’t list your degrees if they are very low.• All information in CV must be correct, but not all correct information must be in the CV.
• One of the most important sections.
• List your professional work experience in this section.
• If you are an employee, write your job title, and then list you career positions each with a short description.
• If you are a student, list your internships, courses and trainings, each with short description.
Experience
• Your technical skills must be Tangible and Measurable.• If you don’t have them, why you write a CV?
• Order them from the most advanced to the intermediate.
• It’s very important for screening software tools.
Technical skills
• Job-related projects.
• Start the list with the graduation project if you are a fresh graduate.
• Mention your role in the project.
• Order the project from the most recent to the oldest.
• You can eliminate this section if you aren’t in a practical field.
Projects
• List all your student activities here.
• Order the activities from the most recent to the oldest.
• Mentions your role in each activity.
Activities
• Don’t write one CV for all opportunities.
• Write in a well-known font.
• Don’t write in very large or very small font.• 12 is appropriate.
• Start all sentences with action verbs.• And here is a list of many ones.
• Hyperlink any unknown organizations.
• Don’t use any colors and don’t put any watermarks.
• Don’t attach a personal picture.
