orientation

Implementation

Page 12: Creating Online and Blended Learning

• Virtual instructor led training• A space to enable asynchronous collaboration

and content access;• A robust online classroom management

environment for instructors to easily and efficiently coordinate and track individual courses

• A single learning portal for easy access by learners

• Intermittent 1 hour self-study work with 1.5 live online learning along with pre- and post work

Functions

Page 13: Creating Online and Blended Learning

The new supervisors’ managers are more involved in the process by keeping them in the communication loop, inviting them to attend orientation sessions, and encouraging them to actually take the course themselves.

Sustainability

Page 14: Creating Online and Blended Learning

• Enabled them to achieve the goal of getting nearly all new supervisors through the Principles of Leadership program, within the first 90 days of their new roles, regardless of location

• Found that the quality of learning transfer is essentially the same between the in-person and virtual programs

• Multiple other virtual training programs developed

• Centralized training operations
