Business Philosophy

• Creating a Value Proposition to a segment of the Agriculturist who are farmingand growing flowers, this is not well organized. These flowers reach theAgriculture Produce Market and then to the final florist who prepares, cuts, arranges beautifully, packs it, wraps and retail it / sell it to a customer for thatspecific occasion / event /expression / feeling conveyed further.

• By reaching out to people at the bottom of the pyramid / last leg of theseflower vendors at the road side or in small shop we intent to facilitate asustainable livelihood by way of constant flow of orders and purchases as anaggregator in the market.

• To become an integral part of the Customer Delight initiatives of the evergrowing corporate requirements to satisfy their customers, clients, businessassociates, dealer distributor network etc.

• Also become an integral part of the Talent Engagement / Talent Retention /Talent Development initiatives in companies / corporate/ MNCs etc.

Outlook of Floriculture Business

• A growing market as a result of improvement in the general level of well being in the country and increased affluence, particularly among the middle class, has led to transformation of the activity of flower growing into a burgeoning industry.Availability of diverse agro-climatic conditions facilitates the production of all major flowers throughout the year in someor the other part of the country.

• The increased growing of contemporary cut flowers like rose, gladiolus, tuberose, carnation etc has led to their use forbouquets and arrangements for gifts as well as decoration of both home and workplace. Floriculture is estimated to coveran area of 1.14 lakh ha with a production of 6, 70,000 MT of loose flowers and 13009.3 million cut flowers

• Growing at a compounded annual growth rate of about 30%, India's floriculture industry is likely to cross Rs 8,000 Croremark by 2015, apex industry body ASSOCHAM said.

• Currently, the floriculture industry in India is poised at about Rs 3,700 Crore with a share of a meagre 0.61% in the globalfloriculture industry which is likely to reach 0.89% by 2015, according to a study titled, 'Indian Floriculture Industry: TheWay Ahead' released by The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

• Besides, the global floriculture industry is likely to cross Rs 9 lakh Crore mark by 2015 from the current level of about Rs 6lakh Crore and is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 15%, said a statement issued by the chamber

• With a share of about 65%, market share of rose alone in the flower industry in India accounts for over Rs 2,400 Crore ofthe overall floriculture industry and 75% of the global floriculture industry, said the study.

• Rising demand from tier II and III cities apart from urban centres is likely to spur demand for roses this Valentine's Day asprice of export quality cut rose is likely to quadruple from its current average ruling price of about Rs 15 to Rs 20 per stem.

The Demand & Growth

• Demand for Roses has spiralled upwards by over 25% in domestic and byabout 30% in international markets with the increase in V-Day celebrations.Fall in the value of rupee against major currencies is the prime reason behindthis upsurge in demand for roses in international markets of Australia,Germany, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries of Europe and the Middle East.Besides this, majority of flower growers are hoping for about 30% rise interms of revenue during February alone with a turnover of about Rs 10 Crore.

• About 40 Crore cut roses are grown across India every year and Karnatakaalone accounts for about 75% followed by Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Bihar,West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, AndhraPradesh and Madhya Pradesh, said ASSOCHAM
