Do you have construction workers who perform tasks in confined spaces, such as manholes,

crawl spaces, tanks, and other cramped areas?

Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) final rule to increase construction worker in confined space protections was released and

will become effective on August 3, 2015.

The question is – Will your company be ready?

OSHA’s new rule is designed to guard against what happened last year when two workers were

killed - asphyxiated - while working to repair a leak inside a manhole.

OSHA found that one of the workers who died was descending into the hole to save his coworker, when tragedy struck. This isn’t

uncommon in cases involving asphyxiation in confined spaces but it could be prevented.
