Systeel History (2001-2005)
• Systeel was created in 2001- production and hire of civil construction cranes.
• 2004- 1st Investment Plan- new company facilities- perspective ofcontinuous grow
• 2005- Crisis on the Civil construction sector on all Europe. Systeel forced to search for new activity.

After a market research we identify the animal production market as having an enormous potential:
- It was a market that needed technological innovations;- It was a market with growing demand as result of the population growth.

• 2006- Creation of R&D department- goal- to create new products andconcepts for the animal production industry.
• Vison:
- To increase de produtivity in the sector creating value for the customer.
- Increasing energy efficiency, decreasing costs;
- Improving the animal welfare, which allow better grow as such betterproduction.

• We knew from the beginning that we needed to innovate, and to gain know-how. The following years we dedicate ourselves to R&D. The LSF (light steel framing), the study of the animal welfare, the study of ventilation and heating systems.

• In 2012 systeel was awarded with the prize “SME EXcellence”
- “SME Excellence” is given by a portuguese institute (IAPMEI) in colaborationwith 11 Portuguese Banks and distinguish the best Portuguese SME’s.
- This prize is awarded to SME’s based on there´s financial indicatores such: growing tournover, growing EBIDTA, and good financial autonomy ratio among others.
- This prize was awarded the last 3 consecutive years.
