Prepared by:

INTRODUCTIONCommunity analysis and profiling is important

in determining the health and socio-economic status of a certain community, their way of living, and their access to service. Also, it is significant in familiarizing their area’s physical features. The information gathered will then be used to determine the problems that the community is facing and to formulate possible solutions.

The data presented here was gathered from the so-called “Campo Swerte” in Brgy. Bonifacio, Arevalo, Iloilo City.

ANALYSISUpon our visit in our chosen

community, we have noticed that the main problem that the people are facing is the problem in sanitation. We have seen that most of the families dump their garbage on their front yard or on the water nearby. Also, we have observed that the most common illnesses that the residents have are common colds and cough. The possible cause of this is due to the very close distance between the houses.

Page 23: Community profiling and analysis copy

CONCLUSION

Based on the gathered information and our personal observations, we conclude that the main problem of the community is the improper garbage and excreta disposal. To resolve this problem, the residents should have adequate information on the importance of proper sanitation.
