Overview

What is it?Facebook is rolling out the changes to official pages, changing the subscription call to action from “Become a Fan” to “Like”. Pages that are “liked” will then be displayed in the users info section on their profile under the relevant categories.

What this means for your page(s)• You may see a large number of unsubscribes as fans clean out their links in

their profile• The name and category of the page now reflects where it is seen in your fans’

profiles• Advertising conversions may decrease in the initial stages of confusion

Although it hasn’t been announced in this rollout, these issues may be quickly resolved if “liking” any content in a news feed automatically subscribes a user to your page.
