Career SummarySubsequent to my graduation of high school, I plan to
study architecture through a B.Arch or Bachelor of Architecture program in order to become a licensed architect. An architect is an individual who creates the design for structures, and often supervises the construction in order to maintain the level of quality, which was originally intended. The required education in order to become a licensed architect with the American Institute of Architects is a degree of Architecture from an accredited program. Following the completion of the degree, one must complete 5600 hours of specified design work (generally takes 3-5 years), as well as completion of the NCARB for certification. The monetary expectation for a licensed architect is $81,600 on average annually, with an initial salary of approximately $46,500.
7Educational Enhancement
Accepted into Fallingwater Architecture Residency program and completed the program during the summer of 2011.
Holding a position on the professional design team for the ACE mentor program (Architecture Construction Engineering).
Currently employed as an intern with Nest Architecture Inc. With the firm, my responsibility is to create
designs based off of my orders from the Chief Architect, Mr. Kip Kelly, AIA. From an educational perspective, I am also fortunate enough to be mentored by the chief architect throughout this experience.

Education Relating to Architecture:
Throughout the last 4 years, I have made an effort to educate myself privately by reading, hearing, and seeing architecture.
The depth of my reading has included The Fountainhead, Eames: An Icon of Modern Design, Case Study Houses, Mid Century Modern Design, Death In A Prairie House (Frank Lloyd Wright)…etc
Visual media has included Visual Acoustics (Julius Shulman), My Architect (Louis Kahn), The Powers of Ten (Eames)…etc.

10Educational Enhancement:
Science Fair Projects relating to Sustainability and Design
Between 2009 and 2011, I have completed science fair projects for each of the three competition years.
All three projects have incorporated design, and the most recent two have incorporated elements crucial to architecture.

Science Fair 2009
The project tested granite countertops to identify whether they were in fact radioactive, and what level of radioactivity the granite gave off. Experimentation was done using a home-made Geiger Counter and computer monitoring software.

Science Fair 2010
2010’s Project created various designs to discover which form would yield optimal living conditions without the need for heating or cooling. The geodesic dome was found to be most efficient.

Science Fair 2011
A mechanism called the wind belt was built and tested for the project. The belt utilized electromagnetic induction, as well as resonance in order to create electricity. This was done using a complex tensioning system. The goal for the project was to create an alternative source of energy through wind. With a significant amount of wind belts, one could depend strictly on this design for energy.

Business Log Since the birth of my spreadsheet in 2009, I have logged and kept
track meticulously of my funds.
The business began by spending. I was able to accumulate a significant amount of Georg Jensen silver, for a low price, knowing exactly what my potential profit would be, and what my purchase price must be in order for the item to be profitable.
Once a few pieces were purchased, they were turned around for a massive profit, beginning my ability to start a collection of various items.
From that point on, I have managed to accumulate over $75,000 worth of items based on the initial purchases of a few pairs of vintage cufflinks, and the occasional small checks from where I have worked.
My spreadsheet labels all information, and the pictures will show my current collection, along with the current market value of the items.
Note: All “debt” digs into my personal account
