BRAINSTORMING Allow wild ideas to develop.
By setting a time limit, you will be able to come up with ideas more efficiently and will waste
less time analyzing and second-guessing ideas.
Choose easy number of topics to brainstorm each meeting. Three clients or topics is a good
starting point for most people. It will reduce amount of past idea review required of team.
Create a PowerPoint listing topics needed
Find office environment that feels cozy for event.
If people know you won’t keep them late, they are less likely to get antsy.
If you make brainstorming sessions fun and comfortable, people will look forward to them and
relax, which will open their minds. Here are specific ideas that could help:
Invite your over-contributors to sit in back if you have a good rapport with them. Group them
together so that remaining groups are forced to act.
Know what you want to accomplish so that your ideas will better work towards reaching your
goals.
Never roll your eyes.
Pick of best ideas from last session to get ball rolling.
Save unused ideas (i.e. in Excel).
Stay within allotted timeframe.
You have to figure out what you want to accomplish from your business writing.
