In 1921 the success story of the world’s most popular German wine brand, BLUE NUN, begins. 

With that vintage the first bottles with the characteristic brand name BLUE NUN leave the cellars of the Sichel family in Mainz am Rhein.

For this reason, the winemakers of F. W. Langguth together with independent consultants have continued to work on it, so as to achieve with the “Sichel Superior Vinification” procedure slower temperature-controlled fermentation and a longer maturation period on the yeast, even more flavour, an even fruitier nose and even greater smoothness from the fully-ripened grapes.

Specific characteristics of the Rivaner grape: mild due to lower acidity, but fruity (peach, green apple) with a gentle spicy Muscat-like and walnut aroma.
