Questions to Ponder…
• How can I teach ethics and compliance and make it really stick?
• What can I do get meaning back into ethics and compliance programs?
• How do I get out of my compliance training rut?
• How can our ethics training programs change the culture of our company?
• How can I make a genuine positive difference in the lives of people and in our society?

Letter or “Spirit” of the Law
Compliance = “Letter” of the Law• A reactive concept
• To obey or not obey…that’s it!
• Enforceable
Ethics = “Spirit” of the Law• A proactive concept
• To obey is a choice – how, when, why, and what are the consequences
• Not enforceable
