We got a bit of one to one time with the man himself and asked… Who inspires Renit Brad Shah? My parents and grandparents. They installed in me values and knowledge about life from their own experiences that are priceless. They taught me to be grounded at all times and be respectful to everyone. If I had to choose famous/powerful people from whom I draw inspiration from, I would say Gandhi, Bill Gates and HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. One way or another all these human beings have made positive changes to humanity that is inspirational. They will all go in history as positive role models and incredible people with exceptional minds. Why did you choose Dubai as your base? I am an ambitious person. I believe that there are many more opportunities in this world than we see on the surface. The world is becoming a smaller place and Dubai seems to be the centre of it. I believe that there are great opportunities here for people who have ambitions, guts, skill sets, and the drive to achieve far beyond their wildest expectations. I find that in Dubai people are more receptive to your ideas and thoughts, and if you have something of value to talk about, there are plenty of listeners. Dubai is very entrepreneurial and has attracted many successful and dynamic individuals who believe in the vision of Dubai, just as I do. Who inspires Renit Brad Shah?

My parents and grandparents. They installed in mevalues and knowledge about life from their ownexperiences that are priceless. Why did you choose Dubai as your base?

Dubai, or for a matter of fact any other city in theworld doesn’t have a shortage of agents. What is itthat you feel has clearly separated you from the rest?

Professionalism, honesty and integrity. These threewords are often heard said by many. However, I holdtremendous value and live by them in my day- to- daypersonal and professional life. Let me give you anexample: Just today I witnessed a high- net worthindividual being let down by their agent on the basiclevel of common courtesy and being on time. Time isimportant to all and courtesy to one another should beinherent in all of us. I don’t do transactions like mostpeople view the real estate business. Agents helpingtheir clients with their property selling and buying needsis not good enough. For me, it’s more than that. I amin the business of building relationships, long termbusiness partners and in having my clients know thatthey are dealing with someone who is professional,reliable, capable and has their best interest at heart. Forme it’s more than just realestate.

What’s your vision for Renit Brad Shah?

I want to be the best at what ever I do, otherwise thereis no point doing it! This was installed in me at a youngage. That’s where I get my ‘never give up’ spirit. Ihave a road map with a workable plan to be executedin the next two years. I have made calculated decisionsthat have set precedence -and continue to do so- in thisbusiness, improve the image of real estate agents andencourage more professionalism which is muchneeded. I believe that like any business, it is importantfor one to always have an edge and stand out. I havea team with whom I brainstorm on how to approachand dominate any particular niche that I am interestedin. Watch this space- we will continue to do manyindustry firsts. We like to call these GAMECHANGERS!

Run us through an interesting challenge youfaced in one of your deals?

I have many to share with you. Off the top ofmy mind, one of the memorable challenges inreal estate was securing fifty car parks for aclient who bought two floors in a commercialbuilding in JLT. I contacted every singledeveloper -and I mean every single one- on mymaster list who would factor in fifty car parksinto the deal along with having two floors nextto each other. After some time, the client hadresigned into thinking that it would beimpossible to get. However, I do my businesswith a ‘make it happen’ attitude, and in the end,that is exactly what I did- I made it happen.Needless to say the client was ecstatic and hasexpressed their appreciation by sending me acontinuous flow of referrals, for which I amalways grateful.

What type of clients do you mostly deal with?

My clients are from all walks of life. My nichemarket is mostly high-net worth individualsbuying or selling high- end exclusive properties.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully retired! I am an active person, so youwill never see me sitting still. I would beworking by absolute choice knowing the futurefor myself, and more importantly, my family issecured.

What is the last thing you bought andloved?

I made a commitment to getting healthy and myfavorite toy right now is my new iPod. I find ithelps me train harder. It also brings back mypassion for music. It’s with me at all times. Inever leave home without it.

The purchase you are eyeing next?

I am a spontaneous buyer. I never plan to buyan item. If I like it and it suits my purpose forthe moment, then I buy it. I will probably get aniPad in the very near future.

How would you define your personal style?

I am always on the phone and I like wearingsuits. It’s a personal choice not because I haveto. Since I can remember, since graduating fromuniversity and starting my first job, I have beenwearing suits. In fact, these two things seem tohave become my style/trademark. I often getpeople saying, “You are always on the phoneand in a suit.” My reply is simple: I am alwaysworking!
