2. The aims of Green Office Week Raise awareness that not all
office workers feel empowered to take their environmental
responsibilities seriously at work. Highlight that everyone can do
something to change that, no matter what your role is in your
organisation. Inspire both consumers and customers to make some
changes. In recent years, Avery has acknowledged the importance of
producing sustainable products such as its range of labels
manufactured from FSC certified paper sourced from
responsibly-managed forests. Working in an eco-friendly office, we
realised that "nobody can do everything but everyone can do
something. With this in mind we created Green Office Week. The idea
is that, regardless of job role or responsibility, everyone can do
something to help make a difference. .
3. Why did we run the #greenoffice14 survey? As part of our
Green Office Week activity we wanted to get people talking on
social media about green issues. Its been fantastic to see the
number of people tweeting and spreading the word on the event. The
final theme of Green Office Week is networking and our aim is to
get people like you discussing the research and sharing new ideas.

at work . . . Install a more responsive heating system which kept

enthusiasm from colleagues. Look into the possibility of working at
home to help the environment through less traveling. Stop people
using the lift! Help with determining which types of plastic can be
recycled. More energy-saving gadgets available and in use. Archive

We see this in some restaurants, cafes etc. things like fruit shoot
bottles, coke bottles and tins are just thrown in the general
waste. I have asked why and been told it is too expensive to
recycle. Cut down on the paper we receive from all the insurance
companies we use. Get them to email/fax correspondence, quotes etc.
It can then be filed directly on to our computer database. A

use water. Stop using plastic cups in the water cooler. Switch off
all electronics at the end of the day such as the printer. Have a
