A group of individuals, active in recovery, who

aspire to influence Virginia’s current policy towards a more productive solution

¨  We have 11 members consisting of one from each of Virginia’s congressional districts appointed by the recovery council

¨  Each council member organizes a monthly

meeting to educate community leaders and inspire indigenous recovery community organizations to emerge

To secure funding for reimbursement for the

delivery of authentic peer recovery support services

To promote, encourage and manage the

proliferation of developing and existing authentic recovery community organizations

throughout the commonwealth

To show an accurate representation of the faces and voices of recovery
