Name of the Artist

We think that the name of the artist holds the greatest importance on the page and therefore should be in the centre at the top of the page.

The size of the text should also be the largest on the page so that it is highly visible to readers.

Colour scheme

Many of the adverts we looked at has the colour scheme of black and white.

We think this accurately reflects the indie image and style and therefore thought we should apply it to our own advert.

However after analysing ‘Kings of Leon’ advertisement we realised the importance of colour to allow the text to stand out and decided to incorporate a colour into the black and white theme.

Effective colour

These colours allow the text to stand out.

The artist name, ‘Dr Dog’ can now easily be seen due to the addition of colour.

Ratings

We also thought it was important to include feedback from well known magazines and their star ratings.

This is so that people can get an idea of how the album will sound and be persuaded to buy them.

Other information

We also thought an important feature is to include the website and record company of the artist.

This is so that the audience have the most access possible to the artist and therefore the artist can communicate with the public in many ways.

This gives the artist other forms of advertisement.
