My Background

■ Worked in sales from leaving school

■ Started Humanities degree as mature student in 1976 at Hatfield Poly

■ Students need somewhere to live so started a Housing Co-operative

■ Graduated and took sabbatical as student union president

■ First housing job in Property and Tenancy Management

■ Moved into Social Housing Development

■ Joined Barratt Homes 1989

■ Joined New Age Homes in 1990 as Development Director

■ In 1998 started land and property consultancy company Adam Roberts
