Team Member Programme

A Team Member Programme (TMP) experience is an opportunity for a young person to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership by living a practical team experience at a local, national, regional or global level.

How do we run this programme?We provide a practical learning and development experience to a young person, who takes part in a team and takes responsibilities towards managing AIESEC’s performance and the delivery of its experiences.

What can a young person gain through this programme?With this programme, a young person gains access to AIESEC’s value-based platform, and he or she experiences:A practical team experiencePractical hard and soft skills developmentAccess to a global networkAn entrepreneurial and responsible attitude towards being a better leader

TMP participants can have different types of practical team experiences, such being a part of a project team, a functional team, the organizing committee of an event, or an executive team of a an entity.

What can an organisation gain through this programme?We work with organisations or institutions that want to support the development of young people and access the large and diverse membership of AIESEC.

Duration of a Team Member experience: 8-78 weeks

TLP participants can have different types of team-based leadership experiences such as leading a team or acting as a part of the executive leadership body of an entity.

A Global Internship Programme (GIP) experience is an opportunity for a young person to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership by living a cross-cultural professional development experience.

How do we run this programme?We provide an internship in a host organisation, through which a young person contributes to the goals of the organisation, completes a job description requiring special expertise or skills, and receives supervision and evaluation on his or her professional development.

What can a young person gain through this programme?With this programme, a young person gains access to AIESEC’s value-based platform, and he or she experiences:A professional development experienceA cross-cultural living and working experience

GIP participants can have different types of internship experiences as long as their role and supervision clearly contribute to their professional development.

What can an organisation gain through this programme?GIP hosts are organisations that support AIESEC’s values and want to enhance their organisation through involving global top talent, improving their processes or growing their organisational goals. With them, we co-create opportunities for young people to work, learn and contribute to the organisation’s goals. Duration of a GIP experience: 6-78 weeks

How do we run this programme?We provide international volunteer experiences through which young people develop themselves while empowering individuals, communities or organisations. We focus on areas and issues with the need for direct social impact and sustainable solutions.

What can a young person gain through this programme?With this programme, a young person gains access to AIESEC’s value-based platform, and he or she experiences:A cross-cultural living and working experienceThe opportunity to create positive societal impact Personal development

GCDP participants can have different types of volunteer experiences. They may work with organisations or in projects which focus on community development, as long as their experience contributes to their personal development and positive impact on society.

What can an organisation gain from this programme?GCDP hosts and partners are organisations which aim to create or support direct positive impact in communities through their activities, initiatives, or projects. With these organisations, we co-create opportunities for young people to develop themselves while providing direct positive impact. Duration of a GCDP experience: 6-78 weeks

I had a really poor support from AIESEC. The internship I was assigned to do was poorly (if at

all) planned and organized and in the end did not take place at all but was cancelled. So me and another

volunteer stood there with nothing and AIESEC was not able to find us anything else...

How can this be? We were there, wanted to do something social without being paid and apparently there was nothing to do... not great. And the way we got informed about all the changes and cancellations

was also poor. We had to send mails and mails and ask - no one would tell us anything. In the end I worked with a great project but this I organized myself over private

contacts. AIESEC had nothing to do with that. In the end (after I complained a lot) they offered to pay for the transport - at least but I did not get a host, buddy or any other support. So my project was nice but the

AIESEC service here sucked! ”

Everyone I spoke with including myself was extremely demotivated by the end of the project

because of the standard of the work which we had to do.

It was very disorganized, we had little to no information before we arrived on what we were doing and most importantly for me, I could not see a direct link between what I was doing and the help to the community. My Local Committee

President at home didn't even check or talk while I was abroad. ”

AIESEC there are really terrible they do not have any sense of responsibility just a group of kids leading it and they only care about

going out.

This was my worst decisions and worst experience even though I enjoyed the country. There was no work to do not only for me but for many other EPs they did terrible mistakes with each one of us, the accommodation was bad and they charged us more money then

what they stated before traveling and the flat was horrible. I really suggest you to keep an eye on them because they are playing not

working. ”

“First of all, I used to be afraid of speaking to

foreigners and was a bit shy when I had to make friends with strangers, ( actually, not that afraid but

I hesitated to do it. )

Now, after having an internship, I met many new people. We talked, we laughed and exchanged our culture. As a shy person, I started to learn how a

great things will be if I only get rid of this thought. And now I'm so energetic to meet new people and

to talk to the strangers.

I've never been this confident in myself. It's because this internship and all the people around me, who show me how much life can be if we just open to the world. Now I just keep developing my personality, my behaviour and my attitude toward

life. ;)) ”
