Recent demographic trends: for the first time in history, there are more people living in cities -- broadly defined -- than not.
Cities are facing other challenges. There’s a widening gap between haves and have nots.
The hub hypothesis: every city wants to be a tech/creative economy hub. But can they? What are the patterns that are emerging? How can these patterns help cities like Santa Maria think about their future?
