Mescal is also known as mescal a well produced distilled alcohol beverage made in Mexico from the maguey plant. This plant grows in many different parts of Mexico. Getting the pina cooked for three days in a pit oven which is earthen made.

This cooking style gives mescal a smoky flavor.

Following with the crushing of the pina with a grinder wheel that is turned by the help of a horse. Later left to ferment in large barrels that are added with water.
