Secondary education : the Cathedral and john connon school.He received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from America’s Cornell university in 1962.
CareerIn 1962- He came back to India on grandmother’s insistence and joined the TATA Group.In 1971- Ratan Tata was appointed the Director-in-charge of The National Radio & Electronics Company Limited.In 1981- Ratan Tata was named director of Tata Industries, the Group’s other holding company.In 1991- He took over as Tata group Chairman from J.R.D. Tata. In 1998- Tata Motors introduced his brainchild, the Tata Indica.In 2009- The cheapest cost car was launched named as Tata Nano.In 2012- Ratan Tata retired from Tata Group.
