EXPERIENCE & LESSON LEARNED
Five pillars of BRC Greening activities
1. Reducing of consumption• Renovation of building (insulation, new windows, saving water taps, etc.)• Green purchase (low consumption equipment, re-chargeable batteries, saving bulbs,
etc.)• Lower consumption of resources by staff (green workshops, double side printing,
turning off electricity devices when out of office, etc.)
2. Recycling• Paper, printer cartridges, plastics, glass, batteries
3. Awareness raising• Green months, tree planting, biodiversity saving activities, nature trips,
competitions, newsletter
4. Offsetting • Income from roof solar panels used for offsetting CO2 emissions of the staff trips
5. Green strategy with measures / senior management support• BRC greening strategy 2011-2013
