Enrolling company drivers in training and communication programs can orient them and remind them about the importance of safe driving practices.
2. COMPANY POLICIES
There should be a company policy about the use of company vehicles related to risk reduction.
Companies can include a seat belt policy, speed limit policy, no drunk driving policy, etc.
3. CHECK MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS
Check the driving records of company driver applicants before hiring them.
Drivers must be screen out to know who have poor driving records since they are most likely to cause problems in the future.
4. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
Orient the company drivers to always comply to highway safety regulations.
It is important to establish which local, state, and/or federal regulations govern your vehicles and/or drivers.
