COMMUNICATION The Communication Category recognizes family businesses that have developed tools and constructed strategies for effective communication about their family business within their company or among their family members. This year we have three winners, one large family-owned business, one medium family-owned business, as well as one small family-owned business. The winner of the Small Business Communication Category is EclipseCorp. Please come forward. (pause for a moment as honoree stands and then BEGIN narrative as company representative(s) walk to the podium.) EclipseCorp was founded in 1994 and is currently owned and operated by Jeff and Sandra Burt. EclipseCorp began as a small commercial studio and has since evolved into a full-service production house that strives to influence positive branding and maintain effective communication. Their business has expanded to include 38 employees and has remained in Central Ohio for 21 years. EclipseCorp has done an exceptional job of fostering employee and family communication by scheduling weekly meeting that have a positive focus, a strict agenda and

The Communication Category recognizes family businesses that have developed tools and constructed strategies for effective communication about their family business within their company or among their family members. As the business continues to grow, CASTO is committed to holding on to family business philosophies and developing new strategies to communicate

Kimball Midwest has been a family-owned distributor of Maintenance, Repair and Operations products since 1923. As the company continues to expand into four distribution centers with well over 1,000 employees, Kimball Midwest strives to maintain the family atmosphere that has been vital to the organization since the beginning.
