12K was founded by Jan Tewes Thede and Christoph Schwienheer in Berlin. Jan worked 8 years in trend research for clients such as Coca-Cola, Deutsche Telekom, Google, Axel Springer and Volkswagen. He holds a math degree and a PhD in economics. Christoph has 15 years experience in technology consulting and software product development. He studied computer science and philosophy.
