• In this session, we will discuss the preparation and process of

the 1098-T wizard in the Billing Setflow of Powercampus.

• Goal is to help users with knowing how to properly setup

charge credit codes and how to check data in preparation for

the process.

• In order to update cash receipt records, you will need to

temporarily disable a trigger.

• Proceed with caution! Make sure to perform a back-up of your

database before disabling the trigger.

• Make sure all users are out of Powercampus.

• Make sure to re-enable the trigger after the records are

update.

• Export file as Excel spreadsheet and review records

• Create production file

• Option to print in-house, or create electronic .tax file

Summary

• Check for correct setup of scholarship and loan charge/credit codes.

• Check for correct setup of tuition and expense charge/credit codes.

• If changes have been made to charge/credit code table, need to

check charge/credit detail records as the changes will not update

there automatically.

• Review records before sending final file.

• Powercampus online help information is a very good resource.
