2. Deejaying

I used to play with vinyl, these days I play cd’s, music that I have downloaded on my computer and which I have put on cd, I can also easily

play my newest tracks at a party.

Some dj’s even play music from their Ipods and most dj’s play from their laptop, all though there are still vinyl dj’s among us. Even the way we get to

explore new music. From recordstores to online research and from just 5 units for the 5 lucky ones to as many copies as you want.

3. Music promotion

From mixtapes, DAT’s, cd’s to digital.

I used to send out mixtapes to promoters and DAT’s to labels, after that CD’s where the general soundcarrier to promote yourself. Later on I moved on to sending mp3 files by email, now I just upload them

on Social media to share them with my label and fans. I can also make a video and I don’t need MTV for exposure. Social media does it all.

4. Connecting

I remember the day we didn’t even have a phone at home, we had to go to my grandmother for that. Later on we had a phone and we had to stay home sometimes if we were

expecting a phonecall. Now almost everybody has a mobile phone and we can even make videocalls. Fax and letters are replaced by email and even that is evolving to mails through social media. Social media has become important to connect with your friends. We can share just about everything online

5. Customer service

We used to go to a shop for that, now you can easily talk to someone online, even

someone in India who might be helping you in your own language.
