Aug. 2012-May 2013 Department of Landscape Architecture, Clemson University Study Studied the studio course named Advanced Regional Plan from Professor Powers. At the beginning of that semester, did lots of research and field trip to analyze the Rails to Trails project from Pickens to Easley; At the same time, studied the ArcGIS and leant how to use it to analyze the site; Used the ArcGIS software to analyze important elements along the rails and I mainly did the environment part; From the outcomes of ArcGIS, chose six highest suitability sites along the rails to make the conceptual plan; At last, I used one existing conditions boarder and one conceptual plan boarder to finish my part --- “Easley Trail Head”. Studied the studio course named Urban Design from Professor Hewitt. It is a competition program in Hamburg, Germany. The site’s name is Hamburg Horn. In my design, I wanted to make the Hamburg Horn to become an environmental friendly city. I chose three aspects to show my design which are Connectivity, Wildlife Habitat and Improve the Air Quality Studied the course named Key Issues in Landscape Architecture from Professor Dan Ford. In this course, I studied a combination of scholarly articles, current research, films, popular readings, and other forms of information as a basis for presenting a cross section of significant people, places, projects and processes associated with landscape architecture and the key issues

For different project, I did PechaKucha 20*20, Wiki Page, Built Work Analysis, Position Paper, and

Competition Paper.

Studied the course named from Professor Sperry.

Prof. Sperry is one of the professors who made the Arc GIS software.

In his class, I learnt a lot of ways to make good use of this software and he also taught me how to

analyze different sites and which elements are important for the site analysis.

At the end of the semester, the final project is to use the City Engine to make the 3D models for

the designs which I made previously in the Arc GIS. And I successfully combine the Arc GIS and

City Engine to make the design.

Studied the course named Research Design & Methods from Professor Hala Nassar.

In this course, I understood the research design and methods. Even more, it showed me to a wide

variety of approaches for designing a well-grounded research pertinent to the design disciplines.

In the research work, my topic is “The Assessment of Sidewalks: To Evaluate Sidewalks Influence

Resident Walking Behavior”.

July 2011-Aug. 2011 Landscape Architecture Planning and Design Institute of HAU Intern

Helped designers to draft and modify CAD drawings with basic 3D operations. Arranged and reviewed design and planning documents. Gained on-site experiences by pruning branches and visiting different functional areas within

construction sites.

April 2010-April 2011 Cognition Practice, Landscape Architecture Majors of HAU Student in Charge From April 6 to April 15, 2011, served as student in charge for the cognition practice of landscape

architecture majors; organized visits to classic gardens including famous private gardens, Buddhist gardens and imperial gardens in Suzhou and Hangzhou; gained perspective on traditional design philosophy and cultural landscape.

In Feb. 2011, contacted with director of the experimental plots of Henan Agricultural University, organized a class visit to subordinate greenhouses and exchanged with experts on greenhouse plants’ utilization in the design and planning process.

Organized class visits to Kaifeng chrysanthemum show in September 2010 and peony show in Luoyang in April 2010; learnt the arrangement of flowers and ornamental plants in scenic spots, parks and other public places.

Sep. 2008-June 2012 Landscape Architecture Class 2 in Henan Agricultural University Monitor

Sep. 2008-Sep. 2009 Student Union, College of Forestry, Henan Agricultural University President Planned and organized various group activities to enrich fellow students’ campus life; cooperated

with directors of different departments of student union to help resolve fellow students’ personal and academic problems.

May 12, 2009 Commemoration of 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake Organizer Arranged activity field, prepared banners and props and solicited sponsorship.
