Page 4: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• Don’t start designing before getting a vehicle template and photos of the vehicle that’s being wrapped.

• Do take good “straight on” photos of the vehicle that’s being wrapped and compare the photos to your template.

Page 5: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• Don’t assume the entire vehicle can be wrapped.

• Do talk with your install team to make sure what you’ve designed is feasible.

Page 6: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• Now that you’re ready to design…

• Don’t assume your vehicle will always be viewed straight on.

• Do remember your vehicle is a 3 dimensional object that will be viewed from all sides.

Page 7: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• DON’T place smaller text over grooves or creases on the vehicle.

• Do place smaller text in smooth, flat areas.

Page 8: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• Don’t use a font just because it looks “cool”.

• Do use fonts that can be clearly read from a distance.

Page 9: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• Don’t extend text (especiallysmall text) to the seams (ondoors, windows, etc.).

• Do leave some breathingroom for text, logos, etc.

Page 10: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• Don’t assume lines and gradients will match up all the way around the vehicle because it matches on your layout.

• Do use caution when adding lines or gradients that are meant to flow all the way around the vehicle wrap.

Page 11: Vehicle Wrap Design: Dos and Don’ts

• Don’t overload the design with information.

• Do keep it simple.

• Don’t be scared to create something different.

• Do have fun with your design!

Most importantly…
