This helps assist the driver stay in control of the vehicle during hard braking or an emergency stop. You can always rely on Toyota's safety technology to help you out when you need it most.


• Seatbelts and child restrain measure– Even in the 11 seat troop carrier, all seat

• For the first time in a Toyota engine, this V8 boasts an oil scavenging pump working in conjunction with the primary oil pump, for better lubrication. The crankshaft is engineered from special high strength

carbon steel for greater durability yet light weight, with balance weights added to reduce vibration. Even the pistons are made of aluminium alloy for lighter weight and reduced friction, which improves engine efficiency.

with needle bearings reduce internal friction, while water-cooled Exhaust Gas Recycling (EGR) helps reburn some of the exhaust gases. Little wonder this advanced V8 meets the strict Euro IV emissions standards, so LandCruiser will be as kind to the environment as it is to your hip pocket.

• Transmission and suspension tricks– A 5-speed manual is fitted to all 70 series

• The VX Turbo-diesel and Sahara Turbo-diesel both come as 7 seaters, which makes plenty of room for passengers. Both these models also feature electric

• If the third row seats aren't needed at any time, they simply fold away to the side of the rear storage area making even more space for luggage. This makes the 7

seater LandCruiser 200 particularly handy when it comes to transporting outdoor gear and sports equipment.




• In the second row the VX and Sahara have a 40:20:40 seat split, while also in the second row the GX and GXL have a 60:40 split. On all grades seats can be split 50:50 in the third row (not included on GX models).

• VSC is a fast acting computer-based car safety system that automatically activates in emergency driving situations. It's designed to help control a front or rear-end skid when

cornering. So if you ever have a rear-end skid (over steer) in a tricky corner or your car starts to plough straight ahead instead of taking the turn (under steer), VSC automatically intervenes. It detects that you're not on your intended path and takes corrective measures.

• On wet, icy or even sandy road surfaces, the degree of traction between your tyres and the road is dramatically reduced. Active Traction Control system improves
