is thermal a private club?Yes. The Thermal Club is North America’s premier private experiential motorsports Club. Facilities and amenities are reserved for use by Members and their guests. Corporate use of the Club is exclusively available to Thermal’s corporate Members.
Members enjoy highly personalized service tailored to their individual preferences. Security is also a prioirty. The Club will be protected 24-hours a day by guard-gated security and neighborhood patrol – reinforced by an infrared, state-of-the-art security system with video survelliance.
what are the membership types?The Club offers two types of memberships:
• Personal Membership – Provides Club access and privileges to the Member’s vertical family, including parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren. Accompanied guests of Members are also afforded access to Club facilities and services.
• Corporate Membership – Provides Club access and privileges for up to four designated Members of the corporation as well as their accompanied guests. Corporate Members may also access the Club for organized corporate events or outings.
how can i join?Membership is by invitation. The initial offering of Thermal memberships is only available to owners of a garage villa or garage lot. If you have an interest in learning more, please contact The Thermal Club sales office or visit our Web site at www.thethermalclub.com. Prospective Members will be asked to complete an interest form and will then be considered for membership.
how much are the initiation deposit and dues? The Thermal sales team will provide information regarding the initiation deposit and dues during your initial meeting.
what is the membership structure?The Thermal Club structure offers a non-equity membership with a 30-year refundable initiation deposit.
what amenities does thermal offer?
Track Facilities
Renowned racetrack designer Alan Wilson (one of the world’s premier track designers), has crafted 4.5 miles of road racing for the private use of Thermal Members and their guests. This includes three independent circuits with flexibility to run 19 different configurations. The track is designed to handle anything from F1 to vintage motorsport racing, and is accommodating to drivers at all levels of skill and experience. A designated kart racing facility is also available for Members and their guests. The track has been designed for the upmost driving experience and safety for car and driver.
Club Campus
The Thermal Club offers a beautifully designed and elegantly appointed Club facilities ideally suited to Members and their families enjoying California’s rich auto-racing heritage. The Club Campus also offers a variety of experiences ranging luxurious locker facilities, state-of-the-art fitness center, personal concierge service, and secure storage and display environments for Members’ vehicles. In addition, Thermal’s Club Campus provides a unique Kids’ Club for younger members of the family. This area is professionally supervised and features a variety of fun, adventure activities and events, including the kids’ own driving simulator, showcasing the Thermal racetrack.
Motorsports Village
Motorsports Village at The Thermal Club will bring together all of the essential elements of California motorsports culture. From cutting-edge racing technology to automotive restoration services and luxurious amenities, the plan for the Village embodies all the good-natured camaraderie and competitive drive that define the California motorsports lifestyle.
Tower Building
The state-of-the-art Timing and Control Tower is home to a luxurious drivers’ lounge, video studio, and casual dining venue, as well as a world-class parts center for both modern and vintage performance cars. The Tower also houses one of the most unique private driving instruction centers in the world.
Speed Shop
The Thermal Speed Shop is home to the Club mechanic and is an interactive working garage facility. Its rooftop deck and Members’ station overlook the hot pits and the north portion of the track, giving visiting Members a spectacular view of the action below. Additionally, the Shop will provide a welcoming opportunity for Members to view and participate in maintenance, repairs and restorations of some of the finest cars available.

These iconic gathering points within Motorsports Village will host a wide variety of fun social activities, parties and events, adding to the richness of the membership experience.
is the track safe for beginners?The track facilities at Thermal were designed with the safety of Thermal’s Members and their guests as the utmost concern. The track facilities will be professionally operated with a highly trained team of fire and safety personnel on the ground at all times and a state-of-the-art safety lighting and control system in place. Drivers and vehicles will pass a full safety inspection and orientation program prior to track use in order to ensure the ultimate motorsports experience for all Members.

how can i transport my car to the track?The concierge staff at Thermal can arrange vehicle transportation from anywhere. The Thermal staff has strong working relationships with a number of prequalified and bonded shipping and transportation companies worldwide.
will there be a driving school or instruction at the club?The Members’ Driving Instruction program will be one of the most unique driving experiences available. A variety of world-class drivers and instructors will be available in a wide range of platforms to provide the ultimate experience. This experience will only be available to Members and their guests.
are there safety personnel on site?Yes. Both the track and karting facility will have full-time professional fire and safety teams on site.
are fuel and tires available at the club?Yes. There will be a variety of racing fuels, as well as basic repair and maintenance services available at the ‘Speed Shop’.
can my car be serviced at the club?Yes. In addition to the Speed Shop’s Club mechanic, it is anticipated that a major third-party tuning and maintenance facility will be located at Thermal in the future.
are there cars available for members to drive?Yes. Thermal will have a fleet of race-prepped track cars available for Members and their guests.
what types of cars will be allowed on the track?The track manager will make the final decision of which cars will be allowed based on inspections, and the driver’s experience and rating. Generally speaking, any car that is deemed safe with the appropriate driver will be allowed, including street and racecars.
are there amenities, services and activities for my family available at the club?Yes. As is the case with all of Discovery Land Company Clubs – service, programming and experiential entertainment is a central element to the Club lifestyle. On or off property, the entire family is accommodated in a variety of ways. Talk with our Thermal sales team and they will provide great examples of what we can do for you in one of the world’s ultimate playgrounds.
is there an property owners’ association (poa) for garage owners?Yes. To protect the ongoing value and quality of experience for garage owners, an POA will be created. Associated dues will be used to protect and maintain the shared grounds.
can i build my own custom garage?Yes. There is a design review board and community design guidelines for custom-built garages. In addition, complete built garages and approved floor plans will be available, but custom builds are also welcome.
can i use my garage unit as a second home?The Club is only zoned for commercial activity and does not allow overnight stays in any of the units.
is the club open year-round?Yes. The Club will be open year-round for Members and their guests. Due to the heat of the summer months, the Club will operate in a ‘light service’ mode.
