Based on the already well-specified mid-level SE trim, the Black Edition range is generally available in either black or white exterior paint but the Citigo, Roomster and Rapid are available in black exterior paint only. Each gets at least £1,200 worth of desirable optional extras, with Superb buyers benefiting from more than £3,200 of additional specification. Expansion for Gordon Lamb ŠKODA in Derby

We recently sponsored The Treetops Hospice Manor Pharmacy Golf Day in May, which was a huge success and raised a total of £8,161 (well above the target).

Well done to everyone involved and especially Angela Stafford, the 'chief fundraiser' and her team for organising it all.

Gordon Lamb didn't compete, but were asked to fund all the golf merchandise prizes, plus consolation prizes of cuddly 'Gordon the Lambs' and golf umbrellas which were given to the winners of the Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin and the Putting Competition.

First place in the 'main event', with an outstanding score of 84 points went to Keith Hall and the 'KH Barmy Army'.

Treetops Hospice is an independent hospice located in Risley, South Derbyshire. The charity provides palliative care for adults with terminal illnesses and supports a catchment area of over one million people in the cities of Derby and Nottingham, rural areas of Southern and Central Derbyshire and South East Nottinghamshire. It costs £2 million a year to run the hospice and the majority of that money comes from charitable donations and fund raising events.

Gordon Lamb Limited has purchased the site in Spondon, Derby from which we have been trading as Gordon Lamb ŠKODA on a leasehold basis since Spring 2012. The purchase is for the entire facility, including the part of the building previously occupied by Clock Garage who up until recently also operated a sales franchise for Suzuki at the site.This acquisition is an important development in the Group's representation of the ŠKODA brand, for which we are the sole franchisee for the county of Derbyshire and the surrounding area. The site provides financial and trading stability and room to expand our operation with an additional vehicle display area, larger showroom and greater roadside presence on one of the main thoroughfares into central Derby. We will also continue with our successful Suzuki Service Centre business at this location as usual.

Staff celebrate up to 50 years of serviceAt an award ceremony in April each member of staff who has worked for Gordon Lamb for 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, 25 years or 50 years received a token of thanks from chairman, Richard Lamb and Managing Director, Andrew Dobromylskyj. 100 of Gordon Lamb Limited's 180 employees have worked for the company for more than 5 years and 59 for 10 years or more. One staff member, Malcolm Catherall, has worked for the company for more than 50 years.Malcolm 66, who works as a technician started as an apprentice straight from school in 1963 when he was just 15. Malcolm says: "I was interviewed for the job by Gordon Lamb himself and my starting salary was £2 a month. After three months, if you worked hard enough, you got a 50p pay rise. So I did! And here I am, still here, so I must be doing a good job!"

Not surprisingly, Malcolm is the longest serving member of the current Gordon Lamb team, whilst the youngest longest serving member is Kim Snell, who also joined the company at 16 and now has 10 years experience as a vehicle administrator. Malcolm received an all expenses £1,000 holiday for two, whilst other staff received Swiss watches, cuff links or jewellery.

Chairman Richard Lamb, son of Gordon, who has been working for the Company for 46 years says: "I take a great deal of pride in the fact that so many staff have stayed loyal to the company for so long and I am very grateful to them. New concepts ahead

Take a look at these 2 sporty models, here at Gordon Lamb ŠKODA we are very eager to see these in our showrooms. One is based on the Citigo and was created as part of a project but the black and yellow Yeti on the right is defiantly a real production model which will be with us in the next few months.

The ŠKODA CitiJet is city-cabriolet based on the ŠKODA Citigo. The two-seater is the result of ‘Apprentice Car’ project, carried out for the

first time this year. The exterior features a distinctive metallic finish in blue and white, and sporty, blue/white-painted 16-inch alloy wheels, accompanied by a handmade rear spoiler and a sports exhaust with twin tailpipes.

The ŠKODA Yeti Xtreme flexes it's muscles with athletically shaped wings and mighty door sills. The striking matt-grey vehicle with yellow/green accents stands on 17-inch alloy wheels and large off-road tyres. The front of the vehicle features a powerful bumper and a large air intake.
