When the 2007 Transformers film came out they had to beg carmakers to let them use the cars in the movie, and now carmakers are begging to get in. According to franchise director Michael Bay,

“The first time, I had to beg for vehicles,” he says. “But now,I am not kidding you, every car company says, ‘We will fly out any car to show you so it can be in the movie.’” With one catch, he adds: “As long as it’s one of the good guys.”
