STORY OF THE BLACK RUBBER
Who is to thank for tyres?
The earliest tire bands were made of leather and placed on the wood wheels to be used on carts and wagons, as these travelled long distances and with a lot of people and their luggage. The tire would first be heated in fire and then placed over the wheel causing metal to contract and fit tightly.
There was a person skilled in this called the wheelwright, because he always got the placement correct. The outer portions were tied together to provide grip and wear resistance surface to the perimeter of the wheel.
EVOLUTION OF TYRES
WHO MADE IT?The first patent of the pneumatic tyres appeared in the 1847 by Robert William Thomson but never went into production. The first ever was made in 1888 by John Boyd Dunlop and thus started the league of high performance tires. Dunlop realised that rubber could withstand wear and tear as tyre and still maintain its resilience. Although, his patent was rejected as the earlier patent filed in 1847 was given as the real one. Still he worked had and we have the results!

What are Pneumatic Tyres?Pneumatic Tyres basically means tyre inflated with air.
A pneumatic tyre was made of simple rubber earlier, but now the modern one are synthetic rubber tyres, natural rubber, fabric and wire, along with black carbon and other compounds. It changed the car tire world!
Why are Tyres needed?ALIGNMENT OF WHEELSGood directional movement
GRIP ON THE STAIRING WHEEL Aligned with the road
SUPPORT TO VEHICLE Proper performance
SPEED CONTROL Speed to be controlled to avoid accidents
Why different tyres for different vehicles?
Tyres differ because of :
WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE
Different tyres come as per the weight of an automobile, hence size differs
ENGINE
Of course this part makes all the difference as this part puts the most pressure on the tyre.
GEAR BOX
Each vehicle has a different gear box, especially the ones used in races. Hence the alignment would be done accordingly and special tyres would be required.
Is getting a tyre difficult?Nope, tyres can be found in 3 ways!
