1. Snowmobile Trip In The Keweenaw, Presidents Weekend BY, ALEX
HAGON
2. The Whiteout On The Way It was a whiteout on the trip coming
up to the Upper Peninsula. An eight hour drive turned into a
fourteen hour drive. There were dangerous conditions.
3. The Cabins The Cabins that we stayed in were very nice. They
slept five people each, so we rented two. There was a diner across
the street where we had breakfast and dinner.
4. First Day Of Riding On the first day we rode from the town
of Baraga all the way to Copper Harbor, and back. This totaled
about 250 miles, which is a pretty solid snowmobile ride. We
stopped for lunch in a town called Shingleton.
5. Mount Arvon Mount Arvon is the highest point in Michigan. At
almost 2,000 feet, it is a major snowmobile destination for people
of the Copper Harbor area.
6. My Buddy Paul Paul is the goofball of our group. He is
always laughing and making jokes. He flirts with every pretty girl
that he comes in contact with. He says practice makes perfect.
