SAFETY RULES:
Do Not Operate Unless:
You learn and practice the principles of safe machine operation.1. Avoid hazardous situations.2. Always perform a pre-operation inspection.3. Always perform function tests prior to use.4. Inspect the work area.5. Only use the machine as it was intended.
You read, understand and obey: 1. Manufacturer’s instructions and safety rules – safety manuals and machine decals.2. Employer’s safety rules and worksite regulations3. Applicable governmental regulations
You are properly trained to safely operate the machine.
Do not operate the Sky Jack for any other purpose than positioning personnel, their tools and equipment.
Do not operate a potentially defective machine.
On a daily basis, before using the Sky Jack, conduct a visual inspection and functional test as detailed in these operating instructions.
Do not operate the Sky Jack if safety devices or interlocks have been altered, modified or disabled.
Do not elevate the platform or drive while elevated unless the machine is on a firm level surface.
Prior to use, check the area in which the Sky Jack is to be used for drop-offs, holes, bumps, debris, floor and/or overhead obstructions, energized high voltage conductors or other possible hazardous conditions.
Occupants must maintain a firm footing on the platform floor. Do not sit, stand or climb on guard rails, mid-rail or boom linkage.
Occupants must wear and properly attach a safety harness and lanyard. Lanyard should be attached to the designated lowest point on the platform.
Close platform access openings before operating the Sky Jack.
Working loads must not exceed the platform load capacity or two persons.
Load must be evenly distributed and securely placed on platform floor.
All loads must be placed within platform guardrails.

Do not place ladders or scaffolds on or against the platform.
Do not position any part of the Sky Jack within 10 feet of any energized high voltage conductor.
This machine is not electrically insulated.
Do not use machine as a ground for welding.
Never lower the platform unless the area below the platform and extension is clear of personnel and obstructions.
Be aware of limited sight distance and blind spots when driving or operating.
Limit travel speed according to conditions of ground surface, congestion, slope, location of ground personnel, and other factors causing hazard of collision or injury to personnel.
Batteries must be charged in an open well-ventilated area free of flame, smoke, sparks and fire. Batteries emit an explosive gas during charging.
