Positive Attitude Of WorkerA Positive Attitude leads to success and happiness. A

positive attitude helps to cope more easily with daily affairs of life. It brings optimism into life and makes it

easier to avoid worries and negative thinking."We think people get promoted based on their

technical skills. skills only get you so far. A "CAN DO" positive attitude is what will take

you to the next level."

Positive Attitude Of WorkerOrganization looking for ways to improve worker's

productivity can start by evaluating the attitude their employees bring to the job each day. A positive or negative attitude affects how workers approach their jobs, and attitudes can have a ripple effect on those around them. In general, a positive attitude will have a positive impact on productivity, while the reverse is also true.

The Attitude of Worker is Three Dimensional Towards the Organisation. Towards the Superior. Towards the Co-Worker.

The effect attitude has on Workplace Productivity1. Adaptation to Change:- Work Environments changes

frequently as companies update work procedures, introduce improved technology and add new products and customers. Employees who display a Positive Attitude toward change may welcome and even embrace it, as they may view it as a chance to enhance their skills. As a result, they may adapt to change more quickly than an employee with a negative attitude, reducing the time it takes to implement change in a productive manner.

2. Innovation: -Workers with a Positive Attitude towards their job and the company are more likely to make helpful suggestions or ideas that help the business to grow. On the other hand, workers with a negative attitude may only be concerned with producing enough to get by while having little interest in innovation.

an organization then say for an example, the announcement of a drop in revenue, is met with expectation rather than creating a sense of urgency. On the contrary if the same announcement is made in a workplace with a positive attitude, it would be met with the sense that something in the business process is not working properly and must be rectified. The prevailing sense of optimism in the face of bad news helps validate the strong feeling of teamwork the company has developed.

4. Competition:- with a positive attitude, competition is seen as a motivator that inspires employees to perform at their best to improve productivity. Whereas negative attitude restricts creativity.

5. Retention: needless to say, positive attitude encourages workers to involve more in company's work and they feel motivated and perform their work more enthusiastically. Negative attitude increases employee turnover.

Towards the superior Negative attitude towards superior Cognitive: - Supervisor gave promotion to co-

worker who is less competent than me. he is unfair. Affective :- I dislike my superior Behavioural: - Looking for another work,

complained about it to someone who would listen.

How to offset negative attitude There are several steps to be followed by the organization to

remove the negative attitude of the workers at the workplace:-Step 1:- Observe their work, note negative interactions among

employees. If their act contradicts the company's policy or guidelines then take necessary corrective actions immediately.

Step 2:- Conduct employee’s surveys by taking their opinion on the working conditions such as about the machinery, lighting, seating or proximity which tends to their negative attitude or contradictory behaviour.

Step 3:- Have a healthy conversation with the workers, listen to their requests, appreciate their performance, and provide training to improve further performance.

Step 4:-Analyze the worker’s attitude with the supervisor. Review their personnel details, performance appraisals, attendance records and disciplinary reviews. Point and note down the areas which lead to their change in behaviour and direct the supervisor to rectify and corrective actions regarding the same.

Towards their co-workers Teamwork:- The attitude of workers is determined how they work with

each other as a team. The worker having positive attitude work with co-ordination, co-operation and with peace and harmony with the co-workers. The worker having negative attitude will have competition, jealousy towards the co-workers leading to conflicts and disharmony in the organisation.

Greet each other: The worker shall great each other thereby leading to a co-operative environment in the organisation and developing mutual harmonious relation.

Avoid gossip: The worker having positive attitude avoids gossip about each other. When a co-worker slides up to you bearing some gossip about someone’s impending firing, respond with, “really?”. Then change the subject and get back to work. Whereas worker having negative attitude will show his interest towards the prevailing gossips in the company and thereby leading to reduced productivity due to diversion in the attention.
