There is more that’s new at Winnipeg’s Nott Autocorp than just fine cars. The north Lagimodiere car centre is also home to some fresh faces in the sales depart-ment. This past spring, Trevor Nott welcomed Nick Nacionales to the Nott family and now has brought customer service specialist Jaimie McDougall on board to help complete its growing sales team.
Buying SmartAccording to Trevor Nott, Nacionales and McDougall will be on the front line of a service offering advice on car sales that can save customers thousands of dollars over the traditional car buying experience. At Nott Autocorp, clients are educated about vehicles that may be a better investment in terms of their current value and their resale value later. Nott generally purchases vehicles directly off lease from the manufacturer at a true wholesale price. Further, the vehicle is fully inspected at auction before any money changes hands and then it is re-inspected (160 points) once it arrives at the Dealership, making it Nott Family Certified. Once Nott is satisfied with the automobile or truck, they work with the client to establish the length of time they typically own their vehicles. Typically this is 12 to 24 months. After this time frame, Nott Autocorp will advertise and sell their vehicle at a retail price. “While we are listing your vehicle for sale, we are also actively sourcing a replacement ‘SMART’ vehicle for you at a wholesale cost. Our clients get retail for their trade through a consignment sale, and because the car was bought smart initially, our clients are not getting stuck with paying for the depreciation. The result is a dramatically reduced price to drive a new and exciting car.”
