ICT laws-The digital distribution of documents,information and software is controlled
by ICT laws or also known as cyber laws.
Trademark
A trademark, trade mark, or trade-mark is a recognizable sign, design or expression which identifies products or services of a particular source from those of others.
Copyright
Copyright is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, that grants the creator of an original work exclusive rights to its use and distribution, usually for a limited time, with the intention of enabling the creator of intellectual wealth (e.g. the photographer of a photograph or the author of a book) to receive compensation for their work and be able to financially support themselves.
Patent
A patent is a reward offered by a government for sharing intimate details about how to make and use a new technology. An invention is a solution to a specific technological problem and is a product or a process
Licensed Software
A software license is a legal instrument (usually by way of contract law, with or without printed material) governing the use or redistribution of software.
Public domain software
Works in the public domain are those whose intellectual property rights have expired, have been forfeited,or are inapplicable. Examples include the works of Shakespeare and Beethoven,
Open software
Open-source software is computer software with its source code made available and licensed with a license in which the copyright holder provides the rights to study, change and distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose.
