Keychain, Driver Position,and recalled GM vehicles!

Was it the keychain?
Was it a rough road?
Was it driver position?
Maybe all three!
But, Newton says, the key won’t move by itself!
So, what moved it?
Rough roads can move a key chain!
Is the driver in position to hit the keychain?
With his knee.
The driver’s knee will hit this keychain!
Could any OEM avoid this design problem?
Currently, the seated driver is last
check before production!
Digital models “evaluate” reach & vision without a seat.
Driver’s adapt!
NHTSA Regulations require a slumped manikin
in Head Restraint Test.
Suppliers design and build seats to comply with law.
But, a slumped posture raises driver’s knee height!
